| 18/8/2017 8:14 PM Lapa 1 by Rik Bought this bike after selling my Specialized Roubaix full carbon bike with 105 due to lack of use.. Was a bit concerned about quality. Received the bike 3 days after ordering it. Put it together in about 20 minutes, all gears/brakes etc were adjusted perfectly. The Sora components are not 105 standard but for a bike i will ride a lot less than my mountain bike I am extremely impressed. the 62cm frame size is a perfect fit. I am 194cm and 115 kilos and cant wait to go for a 30-40 kilo ride. If you want a roadie and don't want to spend the big dollars grab one of these before they disappear. The bike is not that heavy really and eventually I will add some ultegra and 105 components to lighten it and strengthen it.

| 26/10/2016 9:54 AM Good enough by Vince Very confy. I had a chunky mountain bike before and switched for this one for commuting - kindda scared at the beginning but turned out pretty awesome. I had a bit of trouble switching gears on the left side, the cables needed refinement.
| 25/1/2016 5:05 PM I like the bike by Happy Customer - verified purchaser WHY CELL? I bought a bike from Cell 3½ years ago (Ventura Equipe) and it was qood quality, excellent value for money and I subsequently bought spares and accessories without hassle.WHY LAPA 1: I am 60 yrs old and was prepared to spend $1,000 but valued comfort over 300 gram in weight and an extra gear. I did consider Lapa 2 and also Ried and Hasa bikes. The Lapa with XXL frame (62 cm and 245 mm head tube) won out over the Ried and Hasa with max 60 cm and head tube around 180 (I’m 193 cm tall and long limbed). I also read a couple of independent reviews about the Lapa frame which were very positive. I elected to go for the Lapa 1 and used the difference in price, from the Lapa2, to buy a SMP TRK saddle (from Cell), an 11-28 Sunrace cassette (from Taiwan) , some tyre liners and a cheap odometer. DELIVERY: V. good. Ordered 10 pm Wednesday night and delivered in Brisbane Friday morning.ASSEMBLY: The bike was well packaged and arrived in v. good condition. Assembly was very straight forward and the bike was set up well. Only adjustment necessary was centring the front brake once the front wheel was installed. CHANGES TO “AS SUPPLIED” - SEAT: I changed the saddle to the SMP TRK before I even rode the bike so can’t comment on the original supplied. CASSETTE: I did ride with the original cassette (11-25) and it was OK but I prefer the Sunrace (11-28) with the lower gear (my age and local hilly terrain). I was intending to avoid 50/28 gearing (because of chain length and short cage derailleur) but have changed there by mistake a few times with no issue. TYRES: I did install “Mr Tuffy” tyre liners before I rode the bike. I learned their value from my last bike. PEDALS: I put my existing SPD pedals on the Lapa but the Wellgo pedals supplied are good and are now on the old bike (less toe-straps). RIDING THE BIKE: I have had the bike now for 3 ½ months. There is definitely a noticeable difference in the frame over the Ventura (Alloy frame & fork). The Lapa frame definitely is better at absorbing road bumps –don’t know why but it just does. I like the Sora groupset (compared to the 3 x7 Tourney on the Ventura). Higher top end gearing means higher top end speed, but also the ability to better carry downhill momentum up the next rise. The closer gear ratios and sure shifting also help carry momentum, provide more options for a slight change in grade or headwind, and allow you to change your cadence on a long, constant speed sections. I go faster (able to hold higher gearing) on this this bike over most terrain and can hold one gear ratio higher on the steep sections. The bigger frame with longer head tube lets me sit a bit more upright (comfort counts). The brakes are effective and give confidence about stopping distance when riding in traffic. Apart from a minor service adjustment to the rear derailleur at 300 klm, the bike has been trouble free.OVERALL: The bike arrived well-tuned and well-finished. It's met my high expectations based on specs and reviews. I'm happy that I got good value for the money spent.

| 15/5/2015 7:45 AM Worth the money. Good to upgrade with good groupsets, wheels etc. by Paul - verified purchaser Brought this bike in Oct 14, to commute to work and back and am happy with the purchase. I only wanted to buy a set of wheels for a indoor trainer but it is cheaper to buy a complete bike.Ripped off the groupset and replaced with Campagnolo Chorus, brakes, chain ring, pedals, seat post, stem, handlebars and replaced the wheels with Fulcrum's 7. Now the bike flys. Will wait till the tyres go and replace them with 23" rubber as the Vittoria Zaffiro's seem to be a "dead tyre." The weight of bike has dropped a lot now.Use the groupset, handle bars, stem, wheels etc on my steel Shogun bike which has been converted to a indoor trainer, backup commuter bike.Overall if you want a good value bike and want to improve it, can't go past the Cell Lapa 1.0
| 19/2/2015 4:14 PM Lapa 1.0 by ArmourPlatedWolf - verified purchaser Ive been riding road bikes for over 35 years now and have ridden all the brands available....but they were nothing compared to this bike.I can be in the saddle 14 hours without fatigue or discomfort. From my legs to my arms everything feels great...obviously there is definately something in their EPO technology. Now as for performance, all I can say is that it goes like a rocket, with little friction to the road...and steers like an F1 racer.....turns without effort and super stable throughout the turn, no *diving* or under-turning....it goes where you point it with no fuss...and as I drive in traffic, the agility it offers ,I would class as *life-saving* ,in avoiding randomn drivers. To conclude..., never would I ride anything else again...this bike is now my home..thank you Cell Bikes. ...and for approx $700,...life couldnt be better :)
| 14/9/2014 11:11 PM Could not be happier by Andy - verified purchaser My Lapa is a perfect re-introduction to roadbikes. So comfortable to ride and no dramas in clocking up 100km in my two rides to date. Gearing is fantastic although I think the top end is perhaps a bit stuff for me, and the changes are great. Wheels are incredible. So fast. Such a change from my heavy OLD MTB. I had great help in choosing the Lapa 1.0, as it fitted my needs perfectly whereas the 2.0 would have provided things I didn't need or want for an extra $200.Cannot recommend this bike enough and looking forward to completing the 90km Gong Ride in a month or two.

I have racked up plenty of kilometres since purchasing it in June and I don't have a single complaint
| 13/9/2014 5:22 PM Ride Fast by duckmonkey71 - verified purchaser The Cell Lapa 1.0 is a nice Smooth Fast on the Road road Bike, great styling for a low cost bike. I just Love it especially when I hit 85.8 Km per Hour :-). Thank You to the Cell Bike Team
| 13/6/2014 4:48 PM Good Value for Money by Thommo - verified purchaser I really like the Cell Lapa 1. Good value for money and it looks nice too.The only thing that I have had trouble with is where the rear derailier gear change cable end became dislodged out of the housing up in the gear change lever mechanism, and jammed, which meant I could not change gears. Bit of a shock, to be riding first time out on the bike, and find the gears dont work. All ok now, took the covers off the rh lever set and relocated the cable end.
